The Joy of Reading: How a Hobby Transformed into a Passion for Blogging
The Joy Of Reading: I still remember the day I stumbled upon a dusty old bookshelf in a room in my house. Usually, kids are not allowed to enter that room. My uncle had a huge collection of Books. Almost all the elders in our house are book lovers. They took care of those precious old and new books like babies. They always feared we would harm(they treated them like that) those books so we were never allowed to enter the room.
That day my father was reading a book in that room and due to some emergency he has to go out immediately. In hurry he forgot to lock the room.
I was always in search of a chance to enter the room and found it that day. I made sure no one is watching me and entered the room and closed the door.
The musty smell of the books, the faded covers, and the yellowed pages all seemed like a wonderland to me.
As I explored the books one by one through the shelves, I felt an inexplicable connection to the world of reading. Little did I know this adventure would blossom into a lifelong passion, one that would not only enrich my mind but also give birth to a new hobby – blogging.
I took a random book and sat there to explore it. It was a storybook of Panchatantra. I started reading one story and was completely lost in reading. I don’t know how long I was lost in reading. I heard chaos outside and everyone calling me and searching for me. No one can imagine I have entered the book room. I was afraid and thought I would be punished for entering the room without permission. I left the book there only and ran out of the room. And forgot to close the door.
In the afternoon my uncle wanted a book and he saw the door open. He became furious and enquired who entered the room. I was in tears and said what had happened in the morning. And I said I really wanted to read the books and promised to take care of the books like they all did.
This is how I started reading and developed it into a Passion from then.
As I lost deeper into the world of reading, I found myself consuming books on any topic that caught my fancy. From science and history to fiction and philosophy, mythology.
The more I read, the more I realized that each book was a doorway to a new world, a new perspective, and a new way of thinking.
My mind expanded, and my curiosity deepened. I began to write the important messages and excerpts from the books in my dairy. I started developing disparate ideas, and my understanding towards topics deepened. I was able to express my opinions and observations predominately.
As my love for reading continued to grow, I started to share my thoughts, opinions, and insights with others. I wanted to discuss the ideas that came to my mind and debate the ones that challenged my beliefs. I started to discuss with my uncle and with like-minded individuals who shared my passion for learning. And so, I started blogging.
Blogging became an outlet for me to express myself. Apart from reading cooking is also my favorite hobby. As I started to write my culinary adventures, I discovered that my writing was not just about expressing the recipe I made but also about sharing my own unique perspective of that particular food. My blog became a space where I could be myself, without fear of judgment or criticism.
Through blogging, I connected with a community of bloggers, writers, and thinkers who shared my passion for learning. I adopted their ideas, refined my writing skills. My blog became a hub to showcase my interests and I found myself growing both as a writer and as a person.
My journey as a reader and a blogger has been a transformative one. Reading random books on any topic has broadened my thought process, challenged my beliefs and deepened my understanding of the world.
As I look back in time, I realize the habit of reading and writing helped me to shape my life, to be mindful, and to connect with others easily.

To conclude my love for reading and blogging has taught me that the joy of learning is a lifelong journey. I rarely have time to spend now for reading. But I manage to read at least few pages before I go to bed. As I continue to read, write, and blog, I am excited to see where this journey will take me next.
