Unsafe and bad food contains harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites or chemical substances. Which causes more than 200 diseases in humans, like diarrhoea to cancers.

Infants, young children, elderly and the sick are at risk of malnutrition by consuming unsafe food. Illnesses caused by food are infectious or toxic in nature.

Urbanization increased the number of people buying and eating food prepared in public places. This has resulted into growing consumer demand for a wider variety of foods.
