Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK. A talent gone too Soon
KK was born in Delhi into a south Indian family on 23 August 1968
The versatile singer began his career with advertising jingles and recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali.
KK made his film debut with A.R. Rahman. In 1999, he launched his debut album titled Pal. The songs "Pal" and "Yaaron" from the album Pal became very popular and are commonly used in school farewells.
His popular songs are "Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se" from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), "Dola Re Dola" from Devdas (2002), "Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai" from Woh Lamhe.
His popular songs are "Aankhon Mein Teri" from Om Shanti Om (2007), "Khuda Jane" from Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), "Tu Jo Mila" from Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015).
He has received six Filmfare Awards nominations, and a Filmfare Awards South.
His last performance was at Nazrul Mancha, Kolkata. After the concert, he reportedly collapsed in his hotel room and was declared dead when he was rushed to the CMRI hospital.
